Good, but with suspect reliability
Aug 4, 2009Rating: 2 out of 10 (Terrible)
Pros: Reasonable performance - could have been good value for money
Cons: I would have expected it to last at least 2 years!
Opinion:
A nice TV with decent display. Two HDMI inputs, with CEC have been useful.
However, after 19 months of relatively light use, the colours suddenly became washed out and vertical smearing became apparent.
The service centre tell me that it needs a new LCD panel, at a price of 57,000 pesos - more than the cost of the TV when new. The service centre give the impression that this fault is a fairly common occurrence. An email to Panasonic customer service, inviting comments, has not even produced an acknowledgement.
On the strength of this, I will not buy another Panasonic product, and I cannot recommend others to do so either.
Great Value for Money
Jan 31, 2008Rating: 8 out of 10 (Excellent)
Pros: Currently (as of posting) cheapest 32" in Manila, Philippines; Consistent PQ across viewing angles
Cons: Slow channel surfing, only one component input.
Opinion:
Best value for money 32" LCD TV in Manila. Retails for 33,000php with 1 year parts and add'l 2 year service warranty.
Great viewing angles and picture quality is excellent and consistent.
Channel surfing is slow, takes a bit of time for channels to load. Also only has 1 component input, but mnakes up for it with 2 HDMI inputs.
