The bad: No PC input; lacks onboard multimedia playback of predecessor; bloated bass when driven hard.
The bottom line: The Hitachi 37LD9800TA dishes out the same wholesome picture quality we've come to expect from its competent In-Plane Switching panel, but loses its edge in connectivity and multimedia capability.

Fantastic display but not for the design.

Pros: Good contrast, 1080p input, wide angle IPS aplha LCD screen and great remote control swivel base.
Cons: Remote control and LCD TV design is a bit dull. 20W speaker does not give much oomph.
Opinion:
Great LCD TV from Hitachi. It is made in Japan. Superb contrast at 10000:1, wonderful viweing angle because of IPS Alpha technology. 2 HDMI (1080P
) compatible and many other inputs. 20W speakers does not give much oomph but gives great fidelity (BBE and SRS surround).
Ablility to remote control or hand swivel 30 degrees each side.
Summary, good price for Made in Japan LCD with great picture. Well done Hitachi !
