The bad: Soft TV broadcast performance; bass-shy audio; non-swivel stand; pricey.
The bottom line: The first consumer-grade plasma TV offering professional video calibration, this Pioneer not only offers Hollywood-tuned hues but also future-proofed 1080p connectivity.

Misleading advertising from Pioneer.
Feb 7, 2008Rating: 4 out of 10 (Mediocre)
Pros: Good image quality ONLY when watching DVD and HDTV channels.
Cons: Strong 'burn-in' image/residue problem in less than 3 months of usage.
Opinion:
Pioneer Singapore website claims 'burn-in' images is no longer an issue with their new 7th Generation of Plasma TV.
When 'burn-in' image discovered (in less than 3 months of usage) and contacted Pioneer, they claim that this issue is still prevalent and unavoidable and is stated in the user's manual. If you don't buy this Pioneer plasma tv, how would you be able to get a hold of the user's manual to know this 'burn-in' issue still exist?
They took back my plasma TV for 'washing' and after 6 weeks, they returned it to me with the 'burn-in' residue still visible.
I have to keep changing the aspect ratio every 15 minutes when watching TV programmes to prevent channel logo to be burnt-in.

Worth the premium paid
Mar 14, 2007Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: Clean 3D like picture for DVD, worry-free professional calibration, better sd broadcast than others
Cons: my unit before had motorized swivel, 2 tuner PIP, card slot, etc but i traded them all for this PQ
Opinion:
Best way to choose a tv beyond specs is to do a side by side comparison, and you will quickly find out this unit is worth every premium you pay for. I found this tv the best after extensive demo-ing other top tier units. since HD war is still far from over so SD-DVD is still the widely available format, this is the panel that brings the best picture for the SD-DVD format that will also display HD like other of its competitors.
Quality picture and reputation with a high price
Jan 30, 2007Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: Good picture quality... super color reproduction when watching dvd...
Cons: High price & only 1 year warranty...
Opinion:
Best for watching DVD movie and HD signal due to its high quality color reproduction...
However this tv is a bit poor in normal standard tv signal reproduction as the aspect ratio is a bit over stretched.
