The good: Excellent picture quality; above-average sound quality; future-proofed ultra high-definition panel; DCDi engine; galore of inputs; DVI terminal; great value.

The bad: Mediocre styling; limited value-added features; no backlighting for remote.

The bottom line: The BenQ DV3750 does not come with a pretty face but is capable of painting stunning pictures matched with solid sound.

Great-value LCD panel

I tried a Samsung LN-R409D and a Sony KDL-V40XBR1 in my home before discovering this gem. At a significantly lower price, we are happier with this set. I liked the fact that it doesn't come with speakers or a tuner -- they can be added on as options and I don't need them. The Faroudja DCDi processing does a much better job than the Sony in avoiding decompression artifacts.
