TV pedestal and wall mounts are unavailable "optional extras"??

Opinion:
Panasonic have shipped this model with the pedestal (standard with every other flat screen i've owned) as an optional extra... and its not available! Why sell a unit that cannot be used out of the box while the required part (which couldn't cost more than $5 to make) can't be bought?? Stupid. Now I have to return my tv and buy another brand.
