User Review for Hitachi 42PD9800TA (42-inch plasma)
LCD? What is LCD?
Oct 14, 2007Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: Superb Image, Made in Japan
Cons: Reflective screen
Opinion:
PICTURE
I found that this set is able to reproduce superb and faithful natural colours, without over-saturating. Lot's of options to keep customizers happy. The only problem I faced is the screen, which is slightly reflective for my liking. So, daytime viewing is not so good, unless you've got a very dark room, but when night time approaches, who needs the cinemas.
SOUND
Let's face it, when getting a set like this, you'd definitely have to get a home theatre system. But, if you do have to rely on the sound system of the set, it's actually not bad at all. Voices are very clear and crisp. The SRS WOW does an above-average job as well. Again, options galore is the highlight for this set.
DESIGN
I found myself wishing it to be more like the other 42" from Samsung, LG or Sony, but it goes rather well with my furniture, and it's way better than the Panasonic one.
