Samsung LA46A950 (46-inch LCD)

HI Philip,After reading your preview I became interested in the above series. I looked through their latest catalogues and in the Plasma series 550,650 and 750 Samsung clearly stated in their specs that the HDMI input ports at the back of the TVs are ver 1.3. But they did not state the HDMI input port ver for others like the above model. Can we get Samsung to also state the HDMI input port versions for their LCD series 5 to 9, please.
I am curious to know about the ver for HDMI input port for the above model as Playstaion 3 has a HDMI output port ver 1.3. By connecting the PS3 to a HDTV's, HDMI input port ver 1.3 with a HDMI cable ver 1.3, can one get the full benefit of the PS3 capabilities as in TrueHD,1080p signal,True colors, etc?
One thing puzzles me. All along, the major HDTV manufacturers have been adverstising their HD capabilities with regards to 1080p and stressed that consumers can get the full benefit, IF, they purchases HDMI cable ver 1.3 as the interconnection, to either the HD set-top boxes,A/v receivers,Blu-Ray players or the PS3 player. But most of them were elusive about mentioning the actual version of their HDTV's HDMI input port, until recently, when I stumbled upon Samsung's latest catalogue and for the first time, saw the printed specs which stated the version of the HDMI input port at the back and side of their plasma HDTV, TV series 750,650 & 550 (Samsung latest catalogue "The new Samsung Flat Panel TVs - Page 64, 65 and Page 66)
I would apprecitate if you could you shed some light on this.

Yo guys. There're only two advantages of HDMI version 1.3 for HDTVs. Firstly, it enables auto lip sync function which ensure dialog is synchronized with the onscreen action. Having said that, this capability may not be implemented in all TVs.Secondly, HDMI 1.3 also has increased bandwidth for higher color depth via Deep Color. At the moment, only HD video cameras can make full use of this function. Most Blu-ray and DVD movies do not feature Deep Color enhancement.
Basically, HDMI 1.3 is a plus, but not a must have feature.
