Pioneer PDP 428XG is better than Panasonic 42PV70H?

I am a movie lover expecting a high quality of performance on movie and will spend 1/4 of TV time in watching 1080i HDTV broadcasting.After deciding to choose Plasma instead of LCD, I am in the crossroad when I face with Pioneer 428XG and Panasonic 42PV70. Based on the above habit and interest, I want to seek your opinion as follow:
1) Which one perform better in terms of performance?
2) Many feedback including Editor;s choice and uses' review on Pioneer is good. But how about the performance of Pan 42PV70? Are they very closer or there exist a significant difference? If yes, other than price, in what aspect?
3) Assuming Pioneer 428XG is better than Panasonic 42PV70, do you think that it is still worthy buying while Pioneer is USD550 higher than Panasonic? What kinds of factor you are considering or simply, how you weight it?
