New low-maintenance and affordable BenQ beamers

By Philip Wong, CNET Asia

BenQ has just announced five DLP multimedia projectors that promise lower cost of ownership and low-maintenance operation. Priced from S$799, its corporate-oriented MP515, MP525 and MP575 beamers offer dust filter-free design and zero color decay (negligible color degradation). The former eliminates the need for regular filter cleaning and provides hassle-free usage and enhanced reliability, while the latter ensures consistent and accurate hues over time. Other useful features range from an integrated 2W speaker to easy-to-use wall color correction function for installation flexibility.

Benq has also lined up two new projectors--the MP772ST and MP776ST--for its Education-series. These light cannons come standard with an Ethernet port which is compatible with Crestron RoomView LAN system (relevant software bundled) for real-time network management of up to 250 projectors. Furthermore, both kits are 3D-ready out-of-the-box sporting DLP Link support and can render a huge 81-inch screen from a 1m throw distance, ideal for interactive whiteboard.

Refer to the following chart for key specifications, pricing and availability for Singapore. Asia-wide launch details are pending confirmation.
