The good: Excellent picture regardless of source; high brightness; sophisticated yet simple menu system; manual lens shift and zoom.
The bad: Limited setup options; no learning remote; larger than competitors.
The bottom line: The PT-AX100E is similar to Panasonic's award-winning PT-AE900. It keeps all the excellent visuals, only this time it's twice as bright. An excellent projector for the money.

The good: Extremely deep black levels; very natural-looking colors; quiet fan.
The bad: Pictures look a tad soft; pricier than some of its 1080p competitors; large and bulky.
The bottom line: JVC's DLA-HD1 is a ground-breaking projector that beams out images with extremely natural colors and black levels. That said, it's not quite as sharp or as bright as some of its cheaper rivals.
