Reliable Flag Ship Model of the Harmony Remote Controls but not the best for its price
Aug 27, 2008Rating: 8 out of 10 (Excellent)
Pros: Beautiful, trouch screen, design?, RF compatible
Cons: touch screen lacking customization, price
Opinion:
This is my second / third Harmony Remote - my recent one being the Harmony ONE - I got the Harmony 1000 mainly because of its RF feature and its looks. It is a touch screen remote but lacking the ability to customize how the icons on the screen will appear or where and how they appear. I was thinking about getting a Phillips Pronto but it is too expensive and I do not have the time to do all the programming. With Harmony, you just need to use its online application again and transfering from an old remote to a new one is a breeze.
It is rather expensive for such a remote but I disagree with a member stating that you can load a Nevo software on an Pocket PC to get the same functions. As I read from Nevo website, you need to purchase a Nevo remote in order to get a Nevo Pocket Pc ... Read more
why not use a PDA phone instead
Jun 18, 2007Rating: 4 out of 10 (Mediocre)
Pros: Style
Cons: Expensive
Opinion:
With the price you are gonna pay for this piece of gadget you can buy a good old ASUS PDA and load it with a universal remote control program like NEVO. dont see why someone would wanna to spend S$900 for just this ?? maybe i am missing something here...
