CNET Asia Review
Very good
The good: Infrared- and radio frequency-enabled; bundled with a rechargeable battery and docking station; affordable for tablet-style remotes; Web-programmable for up-to-date code database; compatible with Windows and Macintosh machines. 7.7
out of 10View score
The bad: Lacks user interface design flexibility, setting up systems with more than five components can get pretty tricky; no multiroom support; mediocre battery life.
The bottom line: Though it lacks real multiroom capabilities and may not offer quite the flexibility of competing high-end tablet-style remotes, the swanky Logitech Harmony 1000 can be programmed by the average consumer, which saves the cost of hiring a home installer to program it.

why not use a PDA phone instead
Jun 18, 2007Rating: 4 out of 10 (Mediocre)
Pros: Style
Cons: Expensive
Opinion:
With the price you are gonna pay for this piece of gadget you can buy a good old ASUS PDA and load it with a universal remote control program like NEVO. dont see why someone would wanna to spend S$900 for just this ?? maybe i am missing something here...
