The bad: Rear speakers aren't wireless; no memory card reader.
The bottom line: A stylish and highly capable 5.1 home-theater-in-a-box system with HDMI support and a fully featured DVD player.

Well-done HTIB in many ways
Dec 8, 2005Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: Great sound and pictures. Also, looks great in room
Cons: Limited inputs. Also, bass is a little weak
Opinion:
I bought this unit for its stengths and it has not disappointed me. The picture from the DVD is upscaled to 1080i and looks great. I was looking for a good home theater system with HDMI and this has been an excellent choice. The sound is very impressive for an HTIB although the subwoofer does need to be pushed up a little for movies. The design of the system with the black tallboy player and speakers looks great in my living room. The downside is definitely that there is only one external video/audio input. It's a mystery to me why they did that but so far I can live with it.
Good but not great HTIB
Nov 28, 2005Rating: 7 out of 10 (Very good)
Pros: Good sound, nice design, USB input
Cons: Can't play DVD+R/RW/RAM, Tallboy DVD player!?
Opinion:
Now where does one put the standing "tallboy" DVD player? Less option to hide the wires? The sound seems better than LG's but the price is so ex! Plus no HDD recorder. Not being able to fully play back DVD+ media may be a problem.
Everything at a good price
