IT Show 2004: Printer deals
By Calvin Siew
11/03/2004

You'd expect PC shows to offer an insight to upcoming products or technologies. Sadly, that's not what's happening locally. These shows have become nothing more than glorified "pasar malams"--robustious night markets for the uninitiated. On the upside, it is the time to pick up some great offers. Traditionally, manufacturers at such shows have been known to practically give away storage devices, LCDs and--more importantly--printers. Although we'll miss the cut-price Lexmark units for this show, the three big inkjet manufacturers will still be battling it out for our dough. In the spirit of kindliness, we've sieved out some of the highlights at the event. However, do remember to check back tomorrow as some of our information can't be released till later--blasted NDAs.
