The good:
Quiet operation; battery bay included; slimmer, lighter and better-built than other desknotes.
The bad:
Very short battery life; weak 3D graphics power; processor not upgradeable; non-swappable optical drive;13-inch display of entry-level model is on the small side.
The bottom line:
The Compaq 800 is more like a notebook with a battery sold separately than a true desknote. If you're on a tight budget, you'd be better off with a true desknote or a proper entry-level notebook.
