The good: Great all-around performer, thanks to a new Intel CPU; excellent 18-inch LCD; THX-certified speaker system.
The bad: Case design could stand a revamp; 200-watt speakers feel underpowered.
The bottom line: Early adopters and power users will be first in line for Dell's jack-of-all-trades Dimension 8300, which delivers tomorrow's computing power today, thanks to Intel's new Prescott CPU.
