The good: Hip design; strong 3G and multimedia capabilities.
The bad: Bulky; no infrared; small internal memory; poor battery life.
The bottom line: The Motorola E1000 is a futuristic mobile jam-packed with features and 3G goodness.

Great phone - poor battery (7/10)
by soundzen - Oct 22, 2005

Well, im my humble opinion of a gizmo lover, Motorola E1000 has great looks different from rest of usual metallic tiny light phones. Neat great features and interface from music to camera over to video and bluetooth. Many more good than bad but one bad feature is the battery. Annoying to connect, to charge, to rely on the life of the battery when u don't have time! The rest of small glitches can be improved by avoiding some daily routines like not putting phone face down or in pocket due to scratchable screen or using the keypad lock to avoid touching sensitive side dials. Overall, great phone with a temperamental battery! My big step into 3G, colors, camera and Internet by someone used to making calls/receiving calls phones. I also like Nokia 6020 (boring interface - trusty battery) and Sony Ericsson K500i (complicated interface - low services) but looks, interface and features lower than this Motorola E1000 for the same money!
