Excellent
Great phone for purpose

Bought this phone o/seas as I needed to upgrade my long-dying Siemens S55 (incidently a good phone but I had build quality issues). This was both my first Samsung & first flip phone and I am well pleased with both. I just wanted something that would meet the following requirements: Small; stylish; good color screen; loud ring volume; loud volume calls; good battery life. I am pleased to say that the Samsung fulfilled all requirements with flying colors. External screen was a bonus which I am now very glad for, and the ability to reject or silence an incoming call w/out opeing phone is a good feature. Included handsfree/lanyard works well & phone is small enough to hang around neck without feeling too much like a bling bling reject. Love the small size, sturdy flip will last well & the phone seems very well-constructed. My only rant is that no manufacturer (incl. Samsung) seems to offer you just a straightforward ringtone (like we used to have on our early day mobiles). While I would have liked a phone with camera, MP3 player, radio, coffee grinder & ice cube maker built in, that is not what this phone is intended to be. It works wonderfully well as a solid, stylish device that handles the enduring mobile killer app (voice) commendably well. Perhaps the best commendation is that I have received much interest from friends & onlookers in this phone--not common for a phone you can now get for US$100... For the price (my rating of "8" includes a strong value for $ component) it is a great phone. However... I must admit being tempted to get a V3 or a D500 in the next week or so.
