Great Value for Money
May 21, 2008Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: Big basket of features
Cons: Sloggish processor- 200MHz
Opinion:
Thius WM6 is packed with great features, GPS is the biggest usp, in India It comes with all India map with detail maps of 21 cities and that too at no extra cost, while the market price of this hand set is about $400. Many times while running Navigation apps you run out of memory and are forced to close many applications. Negatie thing about this handset is the OMAP 850 - 200 MHz processor which seems to slow for the features thius handset supports.
A value for money product

Pros: Smart phone with WM6, Office - Editable, WiFi, EDGE, GPS, Sync with MS Outlook and Numberpad,
Cons: Design outdated; bit slo
Opinion:
Pros
1. Has a number pad with joystick, no need to remove stylus every time also useful while keying in numbers, assigning frequently used apps to few keys
2. Sync option with MS Outlook, works very fine too!
3. Multiple input methods - found Excellent Transcriber (writing using stylus) and keyboard.
4. Good Business card reader
5. Maintains Call history
6. GPS (but found it slow in BSNL, India with EDGE tech)
7. Apart from regular recording, Recording of telephone conversation
8. Good contact details with their birthday, anniversaries and other info.
9. Being delivered with built in car charger and car mobile holder - useful for GPS navigation
Cons
1. In design it looks outdated; would have been excellent if it had retained P526 design
2. Requires a facelift to Calculator; the buttons on screen appears as a project of amateur
3. Audio - relatively not that loud for music
4. XP fails to recognize mobile when ... Read more
a very good deal
Dec 29, 2007Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: good price for all in one
Cons: little bit slow...
Opinion:
I got this phone 2 days ago and I was wondering should I buy this phone or should I wait for other smart phone coming out in Feb. (HP 610c) or current HTC. But to be honest, why I have to spend $600 more + taxes for a all in one phone? (with much nicer camera and faster processor and 3.5G which I believe it won't fully happen in North America until 2010). I think $400 dollars is a very good deal(with nice design and Not Bad camera). And Dell.ca is on sale right now for $419 with 2gb card. What a deal!!!
Besides, I have been using x51v. I just realized that I don't have to do much(at least upgrade to ActiveSync 4.5) and P527 will recieve all the date from my x51v. This is the best!!!
Well, again, little bit slow than x51v. But I guess I can survive at this ... Read more
Everything you need in a PDA Phone
Dec 27, 2007Rating: 8 out of 10 (Excellent)
Pros: light weight (relatively), Come with functions you can think of in a PDA Phone
Cons: No map pre-installed, slo, Photo is soft, Music playback is midcore; few pre-install extra programme
Opinion:
When I see the function list & price for the 1st time, I can't believe my eyes! Now it is selling at HK$3300 (US$423). I got it right a way!
Back to the phone itself. It has every functon for a PDA phone you can think of: Tri-band (not 3G) phone; GPS; WiFi; Mobile Office; etc. It is very capable of everyday phone use, as well as business purpose.
On the other hank, it does not come with any map programme pre-install. You have to a map programme in order to use the GPS function. Also, there are few pre-install programme for entrtainment. It use Window Media Mobile for music & movie playback, which has only limited function. The sound quality is midcore at best. So it is not ideal as a MP3/phone.
all in one
