First Take
Till now, the O2 Xda Atom Life remains a popular handheld among those looking for a compact keypad-less Windows Mobile (WM) device. It helped that the company relaunched it in a new color, but still, the fact that people are still buying it a whole year after its initial availability is testament to its staying power. It makes sense then for MWg (what O2 Asia is called now) to carry on the Atom line of products with the Atom V.

its ok but not as good as atom life
May 8, 2008Rating: 7 out of 10 (Very good)
Pros: 64 mb is avalable not 48 mb
Cons: ram not as good as 128mb
Opinion:
i really dont like this. Guys do you know that this device has been copied from gigabyte gsmart ms700. i dont think mwg is capable of making its own devices they are dependent on other companies, that is why the processor is limited only to 520mhz, same as the gsmart's ms700. this is really disaponting for me because the O2 was one of my favorite company but this is like spoiling there own reputation.
Battery life
Apr 5, 2008Rating: 7 out of 10 (Very good)
Pros: All spec except 3.5 talk time
Cons: Battery Life and 64 MB
Opinion:
I went to StarHub (singapore) to sign 2 years plan and i saw that Atom V. I read specification and i liked. But I DO NOT like the last specification which is 3.5 hrs talk time. It is too low.
By the way, can anyone tell me the release date/month of Zinc II?
Disappointing Follow up to Atom Life
Feb 11, 2008Rating: 7 out of 10 (Very good)
Pros: Looks good
Cons: Processor and Rom
Opinion:
When I first saw that MWg were continuing the Atom PDA's I thought they were going to bring out another Atom Life only it would be new and improved. Unfortunatley the Atom V seems like a step backward.
The Atom Life has a 624Mhz processor and 1GB of rom which is not matched by any other PDA that I have seen, also edge hsdpa wifi bluetooth etc.
The Atom V has a 520 Mhz processor and 256 rom, how is this better. Alright its got gps but processing power is down as is rom. I know that there are 1ghz processors available now so why the step backwards.
The Atom life was popular because it was ahead of the game with its specs, in my opinion the Atom V doesn't stand out from the crowd like its predecessor because it has what everybody else has!!!
I think the Atom Life would be a better buy........
