Unstable and cranky, Won't not buy this brand again
Sep 15, 2007Rating: 3 out of 10 (Poor)
Pros: Quite easy to use
Cons: unstable and cranky, keyboard hard to use.
Opinion:
Pretty bad experience for a first time handheld user. Been to service centre 2 times.
Plus:-
- easy to use
- battery utilization for phone calls is very good.
Minus:-
- Keyboard is hard to press for those with big fingers. Can't read during the day, perfect for the night with the lights off.
- Unstable and cranky, will hang for no reason. Worse after installation of its free Spb software
- deplete battery very fast if one or two programs did not close for an hour or so. Longest period of battery life, 1.5 days
- Poor speaker
Good feature-packed phone
Jun 21, 2007Rating: 8 out of 10 (Excellent)
Pros: stable, feature-packed, keyboard, GPS
Cons: slightly on the bigger side, poor camera
Opinion:
Just got this phone 2 weeks ago. Everything seems to work well. Unlike earlier review, I have no problem with sms, contact list search etc. GPS and WIFI are very stable as well.
If you do not mind the size, it is indeed a very good phone to get.
my 1st PDA phone
Apr 10, 2007Rating: 7 out of 10 (Very good)
Pros: bright screen, qwerty, candy bar form factor
Cons: pretty slow, reset needed to receive sms, can't see letters on keyboard
Opinion:
my first Pda phone. its going ok so far except for a few grouses.
1) benq didn't include the CD key for the MS outlook 2003.
2) colour of qwerty keyboard should have better contrast. can hardly see letters in day light.
3) contacts list only stops at "J"!!! however, on doing a search for last names with "Z", can still see them.
4) SMS contact search is somehow flawed. doesn't display all the names.
5) need to soft reset to send/receive SMS sometimes... don't know why.
overall, i hope that once i upgrade the software at benq, it will be fine... if not, might have to live with these. have not tried the GPS but i heard is average only.
