Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1
User Review for Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1
Why only...
Apr 26, 2008Rating: 7 out of 10 (Very good)
Pros: Quite impressive specs...
Cons: but why only 65K?
Opinion:
That's my very big question. I mean, hey, It's the cream of the crop and I'm very excited about Xperia. It boggles the mind though. Why use 65K color tft only? Does this mean that I'm going to use a high end phone with a color display similar to T250i? I'm a self professed, die hard SE fan but the Xperia, somehow, makes me feel ashamed.

ok, using 65K is simply because the OS provided by Microsoft, as Windows Mobile 6 only supports 65K~~~however, due to the size and resolution of the screen, you would find 65K is not that bad after all

It's the resolution, stupid!!
Did you read those specs??? Twice the pixels of its nearest rivals. The same screen res. as an EEE.
This would have to be the highest pixel density screen of any device. Anybody know different?

let me clarify things here. i am referring to the number of colors a pixel can present, not the number of pixels in the display. the Xperia will only display high-color; SE would have atleast resorted to the 18-bit display. or much better, the 24-bit display. although i doubt pixelation would occur, color substitution would be inevitable.
