Falling short of being incredible
Feb 5, 2008Rating: 6 out of 10 (Good)
Pros: Fantastic display, VGA Output is magical, good processor, ram, rom, keypad (T9),
Cons: NO GPS, only 2 mp Camera , design of keypad, display size.
Opinion:
How often we find a marvel of an invention falling short of some very basics !! Thats exactly the story with the Imate ultimate 8150. They come out with a extremely promising specifications with amazing display resolution and magical VGA output - features known to exist only in laptops. If at all one can say the PC is in your pocket then it can be called Imate ultimate 8150. After conquering the mountain where do they goof up !! Awefully designed keypad with thin elongated keys which make no sense, below par 2MP camera (should have been atleast 3 MP, check HP Ipaq 612c) and NO GPS. Almost every PDA announced / arriving these days is with GPS which is now a necessity more than a luxury. My final verdict is BUY ONLY if VGA Output is a must else NO BUY. Go for HP Ipaq 612c.
