ASUS P750 - Need advise
Feb 20, 2008 11:29 AM
I just bought the ASUS P750 last week. I'm still trying to get used to the features. This is my first PDA phone. Can someone help me out?
1. How do I use the alphanumeric keypad to type text message? I can use the numeric keys but not the character keys.
2. How do I create a contact group? I send out a lot of mass text message. I can't afford to pick one by one.
3. How do I display only phone contacts, not SIM contacts?
4. How do I send out files via Bluetooth? The in-coming is fine. But I can't send out via Bluetooth.
Pls advise. Despite my struggle to settle down with this PDA phone, I still think its one of the best in the market. Thanks.

3G support in USA
Feb 26, 2008 07:09 PM
This is an awesome phone...probably one of the best handhelds available today. However, I have a doubt whether this phone supports 3G network in US. This supports UMTS 2100 only but US telecom operators support UMTS 850 and 1700 only. Can someone please throw more light on this one? Thanks!!!
ASUS P750 - Great device, not working in the US...
Mar 3, 2008 10:11 AM
I bought this device in Europe 2 weeks ago. The device worked perfectly over there and I really encourage everybody to consider its purchase. I am now trying to use it with my Cingular sim card but I cannot make or receive phonecalls. Text messages work fine. Under the Newtork Settings it's possible to select more than 20 countries but the US are not listed! How is it possible that a device like this does not work in the US?? How can I resolve this issue?Asus P750

Asus P750 - Triband GSM phone - may not work in US
Mar 3, 2008 09:55 PM
The Asus P750 is a triband GSM phone - supporting 900/1800/1900 MHz bands only. It doesn't support the 4th band i.e. 850 MHz. The US GSM network supports dual-bands 850/1900 MHz bands. That's why this phone might not work in the US. This is a big disadvantage with this phone. Otherwise, I still think that this is one of the best handhelds available today - both feature-wise and performance-wise.
Issues Regarding P750

For those of you who are having problems or questions about P750, do visit ppcsg.com. A thread specifically dedicated to it has been there for months. And there has been discussions about the various issues encountered by forumers who've bought it. I've bought it about 2 weeks ago and have encountered certain problems. However, it seems most of them have been resolved and it's been serving me well. I'm fairly happy with this purchase. The address for the P750 thread at ppcsg is:

All the best!
