Fujifilm FinePix S5700
Targeted at family users, the compact SLR-styled 7-megapixel FinePix S5700 comes with a 10x optical zoom with maximum sensitivity of ISO 1,600. Like the FinePix F40fd before it, the S5700 comes with a dual memory card slot that accepts both xD-Picture Cards and Secure Digital flash media, though not both at the same time. There's an electronic viewfinder for you to compose your shots. Otherwise you can always use the 2.5-inch LCD panel for framing purposes or to view your photos.

On the budget end, both the 8-megapixel FinePix A820 and 9-megapixel FinePix A900 come with 4x optical zoom and allow you to shoot up to ISO 800 at full resolution. Especially to aid first-time digicam users, these two FinePixes feature a new graphics user interface (GUI) that will display a brief explanation of the settings when the user switches between shooting modes. Like the S5700, both the A820 and A900 accept SD cards, too.
