Agreed, Terrible. But is there a mod we can make to make this usable?

Pros: small size, can be powered from PC usb port.
Cons: build quality, and inability to stay connected via usb port.
Opinion:
This was a good idea, but in reality it just won't work. The firmware is screwed or something. USB drops on system boot and randomly thereafter. Actually works best in Mac OSX leopard formatted as a GUID drive for backup and booting to OSX. In windows the connection drops are maddening. Hoping someone will post a fix here...

Well, it's been a year and this product is no longer even listed on the MFG Web site, and for good reason, it's junk. The card slots no longer work and the drive still continues to haphazardly be recognized by the OS (WinXP Home SP2). There is no firmware upgrade, no support from Prestigio, no answers from support to solve problems. So basically, this drive is junk and the Cnet reviewer was way too nice. Oh well, another waste of money. However, the need for such a product at that cost for photographers is, indeed, valid--too bad Prestigio's implementation falls way below the mark.
