Pros: low light and night photography is one of the best
Cons: video in avi mode why not in mpeg 4
Opinion:
I bought this camera one week ago. I find that the night and low light photography is one of the best, colour and saturation is very good too. the only let down is that the video is recorded in avi form (take up alot memory space) why not in mpeg4. This is one of the best digicams I have own

This is an excellent camera at an affordable price

Pros: Almost impossible to take a bad picture
Cons: No zoom function in movie mode
Opinion:
This is an ideal camera for amateurs - reasonably priced and full of functions to make taking photos simple on any occasion. Framing your subject is no problem - you don't even have to get close - 8.3 mega pixels means you can zoom and crop to your heart's content. Low-light photography is a breeze thanks to the high shutter speeds that are available. The f40 also has a crystal clear display and excellent battery life, the only thing that really lets it down is its movie mode -no zoom!!
