beware of quality issue

Rating: 1 out of 10 (Abysmal)
Pros: MPEG4
Cons: Bad quality
Opinion:
I own a S500. It broke down immediately after it passed the 12 month warranty period. BTW, I have taken very good care of the camera (i.e. it does not have a single scratch on the LCD display and I didn't drop it at all, not even once).
I sent for repair and was told the len system was down. I asked how to reduce such len failure from happening so freq in future. Not to mention that Casio can't give me any good advice, but I was given the attitude of this is a "good camera", "just you luck", "take it or leave it".

Great camera

Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)

Thinking to buy a P FX9 but decided to go with this as I really want something real slim and compact for my wife to take pics for our baby. No regret, camera is user-friendly, pic quality is quite good. :)

The best slim design camera

Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)

Opinion:
I used to have the Exilim 2.0 megapixels with mp3. I wanted to upgrade it and i was very happy that the s500 is finally available. I love the sleek and compact design. It fits my smallest purse easily. It is also very user-friendly. I definitely recommend this camera.

Great stills / videocam hybrid

Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros:
Cons:
Opinion:
Small enough and unobtrusive to carry anywhere anytime. Great point-and-shoot with virtually no fuss. HQ MPEG-4 video is crisp and holds just above 30 mins on a 1GB card. On the downside, noisy in low-light conditions. Some pictures went out of focus simply because my subject was not in the "center weight".

Very even with FX-9
