The good: Good image quality; interchangeable front plates offer unique customization; good range of available accessories.

The bad: Average feature set; bulky design may not appeal to everyone; strap mounts not universal.

The bottom line: The PowerShot D10 delivers better image quality compared with its competitors, but its features could have been more robust.

opinion on canon D10

Rating: 10 out of 10 (Perfect)
Pros: Canon D10
Cons: Features
Opinion:
Dear all i really admit that Canon cameras has got the best picture qlty among the other brands. the only thing is the looks. D10 looks is a bit bulky and the buttons are also larger than the tough-8000. the reason behind this is when the cameras are providing u a feature of freez proof up2 -10 digree C tht means u have to ware a glovs in that cituation. the glovs will prevent u to use ur fingures flexebly. If the buttons are small u can not operate it smoothly and further for having bigger buttons u ned more space. May be that is the reason canon D10 is bulky.....
Do u all agree with me????????

Terrific picture quality!

Rating: 10 out of 10 (Perfect)
Pros: Lowest Price, best picture quality, standard SD and cables, Canon.
Cons: Bulky
Opinion:
Last week I went to a camera shop to take pictures and verify image quality of the Olympus and Panasonic waterproof cameras. Both use folded optics. Image quality was worse than by old Canon SD500. Yesterday I took identical pictures with the D10. In a side-by-side comparison - same light, same subjects - both the sales person behind the counter and I agreed: the Canon has by far the best image quality. Yes, it is a bit bulky - but as the sales person said, "do you want good styling, or do you want good image quality?" I'll pick image quality every time. Still need to test it in the wild, but for now, I bought the Canon on the spot, and will be testing it over the next few days.
