The good: Nice, punchy colors in images; interesting design; quirky features such as montages with low-resolution pictures.

The bad: Slow zoom; soft images; cumbersome navigation system; awkward buttons.

The bottom line: The novel aspects of the Z30 don't really make up for the shooter's clunky buttons, slow performance and below-average image quality.
