Very good

The good: First-rate photo quality; full set of manual exposure controls.

The bad: No optical zoom in movie capture; slippery body; spotty performance.

The bottom line: Though it's certainly a good, inexpensive megazoom camera, some aspects of the Canon PowerShot SX110 IS fall a bit short of its predecessor.

Good affordable camera

Rating: 8 out of 10 (Excellent)
Pros: 10X zoom in a compact body, large display, easy to use, good image quality
Cons: No HD movie mode, short battery life with non-rechargeable batteries
Opinion:
There is an error in the editors review about the zooming in movie mode. I have zoomed while in movie mode with digital zoom disabled.

This camera is easy to cary around and the controls are similar to larger mega zoom cameras such as the Powershot SX10is. I have been taking pictures with the camera for 8 months. The image quality is great on still images. I wish there was a sports mode. Still it is a great value.

Not too shabby

Rating: 8 out of 10 (Excellent)
Pros: 10x optical zoom, manual functions to play with, the dial makes it easier to use as well.....
Cons: No Panorama options, sometimes flash takes time to load
Opinion:
It was given to me as a gift. Overall am pretty satisfied with it.
