The bad: Touchscreen not for everyone; soft images.
The bottom line: Part smart-looking snapshot camera, part 4GB portable digital photo album, the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T700 will satisfy those who like showing off their pictures as much as they like taking them.

Beautiful, My 2nd love besides my Boyfriend
Jan 13, 2009Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: Sleek, Chic, Slim, Crystal Clear Screen, Bright and Vibrant, No need M.Stick
Cons: Costly, screen:fringerprint-attracting magnet, bad ISO shots and slow between shutter
Opinion:
My first Cybershot was the ancient and now dysfunctioned DSCP2(2megapixels), the T3 (slim but heavy 5.1 Mp) and now the beautiful and almighty T700 in black.
What I like about the T700 is the no need for memory space. Sometimes I would just switch my stick and slot it into the PSP and view my pictures and still take new ones on the camera. Saving money you see.
I have always loved the bright and crystal clear display for Cybershots. Althought I like Canon's speed and stability, the display just disgusts me, it is not the true picture I am seeing while holding the camera. Looks bad but only good when you uploaded it. I end up deleting pics - without knowing they actually look great on my laptop. However, Sony Cybershots delivers. Stunning display and true to its color. Of all the cameras I have used, Lumix, Casio, Powershot, Ixus, the best screen displat and ... Read more

The Best Compact Digital Camera made to date.
Nov 27, 2008Rating: 10 out of 10 (Perfect)
Pros: Sleek Design and Metal Body, Effective Smile Detection, Scene Recognition works well, 4GB interal memory
Cons: Only Windows Compatible
Opinion:
It packs a punch despite being so thin. Its packed to the brim with features. The Zoom rocker is placed in a more comfortable position than some of the earlier cameras. Not to mention the metal body limits the fingerprints to the touchscreen.
The smile detection is surprisingly effective and accurate along with the Scene Recognition.
4GB internal memory means you won't have to transfer pics for ages although to access it you have to remove the memory card.
The lens can be in a slightly cumbersome position for those with larger fingers though as it is in the top left corner.
Oh and another nick in this near perfect cam is that its only compatible with Windows...
If you're not obsessive about having a spotless touchscreen, this is the camera for you. Overall, it beats most other cams on looks alone, forget features and stuff.
