CNET Asia Review
Good
The good: 5x optical zoom; bright 2.7-inch LCD; performance on par with midrange point-and-shoot; useful shooting modes for beginners. View score
The bad: Noisy images at ISO 200 and above; no face detection; meter tends to underexpose shots.
The bottom line: The J50 is strictly for beginners who want a simple shooter to start exploring the world of photography. While the extensive modes make up for the lack of fancy features, little has been done to salvage the less-than-desired image quality.
