The bad: Noisy images at higher ISOs; no place to put your thumb.
The bottom line: If you don't like electronic viewfinders, but want a superzoom, this Sony packs a 10x zoom lens and 8 megapixels into a tiny package, but image quality at higher ISOs is a bit lacking.

Great Compact Camera with fantastic flash
Oct 18, 2007Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: Great Flash, Quality of Images and Good Zoom Range
Cons: Lack of built-in lens cover, bulky
Opinion:
most compact cameras suffer from a weak flash resulting in very noisy images when used in low light situations or indoors, this camera shows manufacturers the right direction to go as a lot of shots are done indoors, small sensors with weak flash equals lousy images, hence i am very happy with this camera, in fact this is the first compact camera that i have ever owned that seems to address the issue of a weak flash and I have owned tons of cameras in the past in cluding DSLRs. the good zoom range is an added bonus together with the anti-shake. My only 2 gripes of this camera is the bulk and the lack of a built-in lens cover (something like the Sony HDR CX7 built-in lens cover would have been great as this will reduce the overall bulk, not to mention loosing lens covers)
Very handy and useful camera
