The good: Impressive performance and image quality; optical image stabilization; face detection.

The bad: No manual exposure controls; no optical viewfinder.

The bottom line: While the Canon Digital IXUS 860 IS doesn't have an optical viewfinder or manual exposure controls, it captures beautiful images with its wide, 3.8x optical zoom lens and ranks among the top compact cameras we've seen.

Opinion:
i took many photos of artwork and pictures in various condition. this cam is doing well. I was up in the mountain (4300m) still functioning normal.

Perfectly point-and-shoot

Pros: Big LCD screen, easy controls
Cons: Lacks manual controls
Opinion:
The perfect camera for those looking for a good point-and-shoot cam. Controls are easy to use, LCD screen is big, quality of images are excellent, and lots of preset modes for different situations. Not for those who want more from the manual mode.

geat for beginner....light weight

Pros: perfect pictures easy to use...3"led helps find perfect picture
Cons: no view finder but OK with 3"led gris system
