The good: The Samsung L830 has a manual exposure mode, manual color channel controls, a face-detection mode, and basic camera functions that are easy to access.

The bad: No aperture/shutter priority; noisy pictures.

The bottom line: The Samsung L830 is a compact 8-megapixel camera that offers plenty of manual controls, but its sluggish shooting and disappointing picture quality hold it back.
