The good: Face-detecting autofocus, optical image stabilization good to see on a budget camera.

The bad: No user control over ISO sensitivity; painfully slow flash recycle time.

The bottom line: This budget camera includes a few surprising features, but its flaws outweigh its benefits.

Pleasing. If it meets your needs like it did mine.

Rating: 8 out of 10 (Excellent)
Pros: Uses 2AA batteries for convenience, fast start up/shooting time, light, user-friendly
Cons: grainy images on high resolutions, flash is a nerve-wrecker
Opinion:
Bottom line, a pro photographer would cringe and say this is the worst piece of crap Nikon can come up with, but coming from someone who:
(a) wanted a light weight camera
(b) wanted their digi camera to work on double A batteries instead of the charge-up kinds so there'd be no panicking when the batteries went flat
(c) rarely/never uses/avoided flash for shooting
(d) looking for different shooting modes
(e) already has a Canon DSLR and wants a normal shooter that passes the average mark for taking candid/holiday/school research/silly wedding shots/something- along - those - lines photos

I think this is a camera that met all my above needs and yet stays below the $300 mark. Colour me satisfied.
