The good: Small, light stainless steel body and click wheel interface are great design touches; optical image stabilization; fast burst shooting.

The bad: Slow performance; way too much noise at high ISO settings.

The bottom line: The Nikon Coolpix S500 may look and feel pretty, but its slow performance and noisy high-ISO images hold it back.

Pros: the iso setting can set it yourself 7.1mb
Cons: at night shot if taken ur hand muz be stable
Opinion:
this camera is ok but only night ur hand muz be stable

lightweight, great pictures even in low light

Opinion:
I have used it for a month only. But i am happy with its performance. Optical image stabilisation works really well. I took pictures while in the car and the image quality is superb. It is light weight and small compare to my earlier coolpix S1. Metallic finish looks good.I havn't come across any shortcoming till now.
