CNET Asia Review

The bad: Bulkier design; flimsy battery and memory stick compartment cover; camera's back tends to retain fingerprints; slow flash recharge cycle; no unlimited continuous shooting mode; noisy images at ISO 800 and ISO 1,000.
The bottom line: The slightly bulkier Cyber-shot T30 (compared with the Cyber-shot T9) is targeted at those looking for a compact-sized shooter with a large LCD screen.

superb camera with excellent 3 inch screen
Aug 9, 2006Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: Large screen. Picture quality, zoom facility with video whilst filming, long battery life
Cons: Unable to charge the battery without removing it.
Opinion:
I have had this camera around 2 weeks now. I am really pleased with the features and picture quality provided. Battery seems to last forever. 3 inch screen gives excellent display even in bright conditions. camera shake system works really well...not had any blurred pictures as yet. amazed that in video mode you can zoom in and out whilst filming.

Jul 5, 2006Rating: 6 out of 10 (Good)
Pros: Super Steady Shot, ISO 1000, 7.2 MP, big screen, long batt life, nifty slide show feature.
Cons: Camera stabilization does not work well, still get blurry shots.
Opinion:
As a long time user of Sony cameras, owning the T1 and the DSC F717, I would love to have a compact camera with the latest features, including image stabilization as a priority. I tested the T30, but capturing of moving objects turned out blurry after a few attempts with steady shot activated. Other than that, it is a classy compact camera with great design.
A very good product that is also compact and does not have anything protruding from it.
May 15, 2006Rating: 8 out of 10 (Excellent)
Pros: Small, anti shake, long battery life, internal memory, no protruding lens, stylish
Cons: Mostly plastic, cant charge without taking the battery out or buying another adapter
Opinion:
This is my first camera and i am excited to use it. I needed a camera that works well in darker conditions because i will be going to prom, this was rated highly for that and everything else. The internal memory holds about 20 pictures (my memory card has not arrived yet) which is nice so i can play with it still.
