CNET Asia Review
Very good
The good: Stylish exterior; dedicated buttons for focusing, bracket exposure and burst modes; large LCD monitor for viewing pictures; hinged cover for battery and Memory Stick Duo compartments; 12x optical zoom; manual features. 7.2
out of 10View score
The bad: Rather short body; evident shutter lag; no continuous burst mode; purple fringing.
The bottom line: Other than some misses in the performance and image quality, the Cyber-shot H5 is a worthy megazoomer with image stabilization and high ISO features.

Great Camera,. direct competitor of canon S3
Jan 29, 2007Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: great optical zoom, LCD, and decent image quality, best /coolest design for IMO for a megazoom.
Cons: purple fringing ,
Opinion:
Good camera with long zoom, but i saw a site where they compare head-to-head the lower-resolution canon S3IS to this one,
here is the site:
www.dcviews.com...
imo about the comparison, Sony has more accurate colors and better in sun exposure than canon, but canon S3 is excellent for having lesser chromatic aberrations on that shots, but look at the sky, this is where Carl-Zeiss works greatly, preventing flares in shots better than canon optics. both cameras were just as sharp.
Auto mode is extremely good in most shooting conditions.

High Zoom, Portable, Good Enough for the holidays
Jul 4, 2006Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: High Zoom, Good grip feel
Cons: None....
Opinion:
User of compact camera (T1), find that in some situations, a higher zoom camera yet simple enough to use would be a good upgrade choice. Borrowed from a friend and had it for a weekend, found it egornomically designed and really simple to use.
