The bad: Boring design; lackluster continuous shooting mode; purple fringing in heavily backlit and high-contrast shots.
The bottom line: The Fujifilm FinePix is a perfect companion for those who don't want to lug along a digital SLR for taking usable pictures at low-light settings. The availability of both auto and manual modes should also please a broad range of general photography users.

Best PnS for Low Light
Mar 26, 2008Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: Excellent shots with High ISOs, Full Manual Modes and A/S Priority Modes
Cons: Not much I can think of for the average consumer.
Opinion:
Best PnS out there for low light shots. Subsequent models put out by Fuji don't even match up to this pint sized legend.
If you're looking for a PnS camera that works well in low light, get this of the F31fd. I've had this camera for almost 2 years now, and I can't find a better PnS in low light conditions. Pictures in broad daylight are acceptable and definitely above average.
Battery life is excellent as well, and build quality is solid. If you can find this second hand, I would suggest getting this camera to go along with that DSLR that you have so that you don't have to lug that DSLR for night shots / parties.
Great palm size camera
Mar 22, 2007Rating: 8 out of 10 (Excellent)
Pros: Fast power-up, good for all day pictures
Cons: Slightly weak for night shots
Opinion:
Recommend buy for a handy camera pack of features. Will take this when I am not taking the Nikon D70/D200.
Worth buying
Sep 1, 2006Rating: 8 out of 10 (Excellent)
Pros: Good camera
Cons: Nothing complaint
Opinion:
Compairing to the other brand with the same capacity, Fuji F30 is one of the best especially in low light condition.
