The good: Weatherproof; D-Lighting function; in-camera red-eye fix; Face-priority autofocus.

The bad: Prone to lingering fingerprints; poor performance of D-Lighting function for night pictures.

The bottom line: The S2 is clearly an upgrade from the S1 with more features and slightly better performance.

Can do most of the job well

Rating: 7 out of 10 (Very good)
Pros: Superb macro mode, very very sharp image
Cons: Weak flash and night shot
Opinion:
High quality construction, the sliding cover snap really well. LCD resolution is on the course side and if you take night or low lighting indoor shot, make sure the object is within the flash range to have good result. Else you will need to stabilise the camera using a tripot for sure. And this camera is splash proof... I buy it for outdoor recreational activities and in-door macro (
