Good multi function camera, good value for money

Pros: 6x zoom, compact form, OIS, good flash
Cons: Slow shot to shot, little control, WB not very accurate, NOT Lecia lens, LONG flash cycle time
Opinion:
Got this little gem about a year ago when I was looking for the best value for the money I had. It provide a powerful little package for the least amount of money. This camera can fit into my jacket pockets (although not really my jeans). It fits nicely into my hand too.

OIS works although it is no wonder drug for hand shake. The flash is powerful for such a little one. However the cycle time for the flash can be very long. And for some reason, it always seem to show my almost full NiMHs to be only half full. I did set the correct battery type in options.

6x zoom is only avaliable from Panasonic in such a tiny package, the main point that swing me to buy this.

Opinion:
This camera packs a punch in the optical zoom dept. As more cameras offer 3x optical zoom nowadays, the LZ1 or LZ2 goes the extra mile with its 6x optical and 4x digital zoom on top of its legendary OIS function. No more fuzzy closeups. On the downside, would have liked a good Leica lens on it to give it a sharper edge.
