CNET Asia Review
Very good
The good: Ultracompact design; big, bright 2.5-inch screen; satisfying set of manual controls; useful video modes; solid overall performance; commendable image quality. 7.6
out of 10View score
The bad: Sluggish burst mode; can't charge battery or off-load photos without using the dock.
The bottom line: The Casio Z750 marries form and function with a great design and satisfying manual controls.

Great camera

Opinion:
This is one great camera, everything about it is how it should be, quick, great size, resolution, solid construction, wonderful color saturation. Of my 4 digital cameras this is the best and my Nikon Coolpix 8800
is the worst. As to the problem re battery and charging, go on ebay and buy a spare battery with a neat little charger for about $50. Then you have no problems at all.
Excellent MPEG-4 movies...

Opinion:
I'm a heavy user of video mode in cameras. So far, the Mpeg4 movies of Z750 are very clear with little 'noise' as compared to the other brands with Mpeg4 feature, eg. Kodak V550, Pentax Optio S5Z or S6. Other brands' video suffers from high compression and has more 'noise' in the movie clip. As for the snapshot picture, recommend to upgrade firmware to v1.01, which gives a more balanced and nice picture quality without oversaturation/sharpness. Have been using it for about a month. Very pleased with the camera so far. However, do take note on how to prevent the 'lens error'... Cheers.

When the camera is used again the lens either comes out and goes straight back in with lens error or when zoomed to full, the lens retracts with lens error. The best safeguard to avoid this is to disable the REC and PLAY button power-on option. (MENU - SET UP - REC/PLAY - DISABLE). Please either make sure this option is disabled or take extra care to avoid pressing the REC or PLAY buttons in the above situation. Another safeguard is to leave the camera in the voice recording mode when not in use. In this mode the cameras lens will not extend if the camera is turned on. The voice recording mode is indicated ... Read more
