The bad: Few manual controls or scene modes; image quality far from stellar.
The bottom line: Improved image quality makes this high-performance ultracompact one of the better choices in the current Canon Digital IXUS lineup.

After reading from previous review, I tried to explore my camera, found that my camera could get 1 min of 60fps and unlimited 30fps video capture. Of course, the limited factor is the size of the memory card. Overall, the camera is great. I like the My Color function.
Video function is OUTDATED!

I have always been a fan of Canon's IXUS line, compact, sturdy and enough manual controls to satisfy me. However, looking at the latest offerings, both the IXUS 50 and the IXUS 700 failed to impress me due to the fact that they are still limiting the video capability to a weak 30 seconds (highest setting) and 3 mins at the lowest setting. This simply does not cut it anymore today. I guess I would have to look elsewhere for a new favorite compact camera. Disappointed.
Feature-packed camera that produces great pictures
