Very good

7.8

The good: Great image quality; good low-light performance; dual memory card support; good resolution; USB and FireWire support.

The bad: Vertical shutter has no command dial and cannot wake the camera from sleep; no AF-On button; usability could be improved; sluggish performance; small viewfinder.

The bottom line: For the best image quality at this price point, there's really no other Nikon-mount dSLR that comes close.

Can't ask for more for the price!

There are several models costing more and with more pixels. Compare the pics taken and the results, this camera produces the best color saturation and clarity. It is difficult to beat this camera for its price. It may be a bit sluggish and lower shutter and drive speed, but how often do we need very high speeds? I owned
this camera for a few months and have not had any problems and I like the results from the shots
taken with this camera. None so far comes this close. It is a very good camera with very low battery consumption and only 4x AA Lithium rechargeable batteries to last you for quite a while.
