The bad: Abysmal uncompressed shooting performance; LCD doesn't swivel; power button easily triggered; hard to manage all the custom settings.
The bottom line: In the right hands--only patient and experienced enthusiasts need apply--this camera can take excellent photos.

Beautiful photos... takes time

This is my first serious digital camera to replace a Minolta x-700 SLR. What I really like about the camera is the vivid pictures that I can still crop and edit, if needed. The colors are great, the features numerous. The zoom does a nice job, although not as nice as a 12x image stabilized. For most applications, it works fine. Two features I especially like are the tilting LCD screen and the remote control. I'm somewhat disappointed in the autofocus in low light. If your target moves slightly or the light is too low, you will get a fair amount of out-of-focus pics. In the past year, I have taken several thousand pics with this camera and would give this camera a 9 out of 10 for an overall score. I highly recommend it.
