The good: Re-designed magnesium alloy casing and styling; improved auto-focus performance; outstanding lack of high ISO image noise.

The bad: Opening the CF compartment switches the camera off and wipes the buffer of stored images; small viewfinder.

The bottom line: An excellent successor to the Canon EOS D30 SLR camera, with remarkably improved performance yet maintaining the same price competitiveness.
