Campus Snapshots

By CNET Asia staff

The Campus Snapshots series casts a spotlight on young aspring photographers from the various educational institutions in Singapore. These students not only showcase some of their best works, they also share with readers the techniques and thoughts that go into the final picture.

What we are trying to put across to readers is that you don't need expensive, high-end cameras to get good shots. Some of the shutterbugs featured here used point-and-shoots or even film-based compacts. They relied also on their eyes to frame each shot and to think of creative ways to express their thoughts through images. This is what photography is about and not just relying on the equipment. At the end of the day, it's the photographers who make the shot, not the camera.

We hope these student photographers can inspire you to grab your shooter, head out and start snapping. After all, practice makes perfect.
