Sony refreshes its Cyber-shot T and W seriesToday, Sony announced two new Cyber-shots which extend the T and W series. The TX1 and WX1 belong to a more powerful and feature-rich sub-category within each family. A representative from the company also told us the X denotes functions such as Sweep Panorama which debuted on the Cyber-shot HX1. A new imaging sensor, the Exmor R, is implemented in the duo as well. Sony claims this new sensor is twice as sensitive to light as previous sensors, and also reduces noise levels by half even in dimly lit environments.
 The TX1 and WX1. The 10.2-megapixel Cyber-shot DSC-WX1 packs a 24mm ultra-wide-angle lens which has 5x optical zoom. According to the specifications sheet, Sony is using the G Lens, which is typically reserved for its dSLR glasses on the new W-series snapper. Despite having a longer zoom lens, the WX1 still manages to keep a relatively slim 19.8mm profile. The TX1 and WX1 will be available in September with pricing to be announced later. New products
